The website has provided route details, planning information and a directory of accommodation and service providers. The site has been regularly updated to reflect revisions on or around the route and its popularity has resulted in the site been almost continuously ranked as No 1 with the principal search engines. We as the web originators plan for this position to be maintained even in the light of a new 2 year publicly funded website that will soon be launched.

In the light of this new entrant we have concluded that there is no alternative but to offer to all accommodation providers close to the walking route an identical free directory entry and hyperlink on this website and that this will apply to all accommodation providers, be they existing advertisers or not, who would like to be listed on this No 1 ranked portal website. This free entry will be for initially 2012 and 2013 and will be reviewed thereafter.

SCSupport is planning to support this walking route in the long term and is willing to incur significant loss in advertising income to make sure that the website's accommodation and service directory sections are as comprehensive as possible and meets the needs of the long distance walker.
